About Charity Shop
Howick Hospice has a delightful Charity Shop on its premises at 7 Mansfield Road.
The shop started in 1987 and has undergone several transformations starting off at the Presbyterian manse in Fraser Road. Recent renovations have allowed for more spacious shopping with a book section, children’s corner, shelves of collectables, lots of clothing and much more.
From small beginnings our Charity Shop has grown into a thriving business, thanks to the generous donations from the community and business sector. All the money generated by the shop goes to Howick Hospice, assisting us to provide quality care to the terminally ill.
All donations for the shop are taken to the small receiving depot on our premises, which is run by Denise Larsen and Jean Lesur. These two ladies sort and price the donations.
Our shop is run by Colleen Walker, our Shop Manageress, together with a team of volunteers who help in serving behind the counter and keep rails and shelves tidy.
We are always grateful for good quality donations of clothing, kitchenware, linen, bric-a-brac, crockery, books, records and furniture – should you be able to assist in any way, please contact our offices on 033 -330 5257. You may drop off your donations at our Charity Shop or we will gladly come and collect your donations.
Please contact us to arrange collection.
